Our education and awareness initiatives empower students, educators, and communities to adopt sustainable practices — from energy efficiency and water conservation to air quality and circular economy.
Sustainability Movement, the education and awareness program of Green Leaders NGO, has made a profound impact on students, teachers, and communities. This campaign is the result of collaboration with the Center for Green Schools at USGBC and partnerships with corporates (DAR Design Offices) and MENA Green Building Councils.
Together, they have strengthened the program, engaging over 1,200 teachers and 90,000 students in hands-on Green Apple Day of Service projects, transforming learning environments and fostering environmental stewardship.
Participants engage in practical sustainability solutions, including energy utilization and passive design, solar passive cooling experiments, water audits, classroom air quality monitoring, and recycling & upcycling activities. The program also emphasizes healthy classrooms—where indoor air quality, thermal comfort, and daylight access support student well-being and performance.
